Gautam’s paintings are dynamic in nature and are influenced by his emotions, surroundings and mind. Acrylic on canvas, oil paint, water color, spray technique and knife paintings are some of the methods which he uses. Bold lines and vibrant colors make him zealous to create an art piece. His paintings consist of geometric patterns and constructions as they represent his personality. Being straight forward towards life and art is what defines his recent works are based on aesthetic beauty of woman. “I have depicted a young girl in monochrome; joyous amidst flora and fauna. Some of my paintings picture a village lady doing her daily chores and speaking her heart out to the birds. Birds are the creatures which I love the most and I portray them often in my paintings. I envy their freedom and flight into the blue vast sky. Tribes and their traditional outfits move me to canvas them. I am intrigued by the fleeting balance between strength and fragility in nature and I seek to create feelings of tranquility and balance in my paintings.” says Gautam.
